Kiwi Chia Pudding

Friday, 7 April 2017

It's finally happened.

After 2 years at preeschool and 3 at school, we finally have experienced the joys of head lice. The day I discovered that my eldest's head was covered in nasty eggs, I was really tempted to burn the bedclothes and towels and disinfect the entire house.

Now, after combing him, and myself, and my husband, and my youngest one for over a week, I am tempted to say we've finally won the battle.

Pineapple Baked Puddings

Friday, 17 June 2016

Last Sunday was my birthday.

That means I´m 35 years old now. Thirty-five! It does look like it was yesterday when I laughed about these really really really old 35 year old´s.... and now look at me, blowing a number 3 and 5 shaped candles!

I am in that age when people cannot really guess your age. When I´m asked, how old are you? I respond with the evil question, how old do you think I am?

Dark Chocolate & Avocado Pudding

Friday, 3 June 2016

I suspect today’s recipe is going to be a hard sell.

Avocado and dark chocolate pudding. Avocado. And. Chocolate. In a pudding. These two ingredients shouldn't work but they really do!

Before you click away, please wait just a minute. As unpromising as this sounds, this unusual combo makes probably the most delicious dessert I’ve eaten in months. And trust me, I've eaten lots.

Avocados are super versatile and can be used to create creamy smoothies, or can be substituted for butter or oil in baking. They also make great additions to sandwiches or burgers, and they can even be used to make brownies and more indulging desserts.

Scones Cheese Cake

Every time I go to a restaurant the first thing I do is to check the desserts menu.

It doesn’t matter how posh or how tacky the place is.

Until I’ve decided what I’m going to have for dessert I’m unable to order any food.

It has took me years to develop this sophisticated strategy that I’ve been practicing since I was a little girl. I have never been a fussy eater, but I get distracted easily. So when I was in a restaurant with my family, I had to make sure that finishing my dinner, sitting properly, not singing, playing with the cutlery or running around was definitely going to be worth it.

My mum has been her whole life skipping the dessert.

I know, I know. My own mother!
