The last few weeks have been completely hectic. Not that I don't like the buzzing feeling, but this week I feel I just need to sit down and share some of the news here in marmalade land. Or maybe I just need to sit down. Oh sofa, I miss you so much!
Anyway… As you know, we are now selling our jams through some new amazing stockists, including Not On The High Street, one of the coolest online market places of all times. This is keeping us reeeeeally busy, with new customers all around the UK and Europe.
Our first birthday is approaching fast (yay!!!) and we have prepared lots of surprises including a massive giveaway and a full makeover of our blog thanks to the help of Bobbi from Ready to Blog. It’s going to be absolutely amazing and I’m sure you will love it.
And finally, my personal life is tying in with my jamming life: lots of new projects, challenges and life plans and we are enjoying every minute of it!

Amazingly, we have made it through to the Semi-Finals of the NatWest Venus Awards Devon 2014 in the category of Green Business Award. This is probably because we are deeply committed to people and the environment: all our ingredients come from sustainable, respectful, Fairtrade and responsible sources. We invest in our community buying from local producers, farmers and shops across Devon and Cornwall. All our jars come from recycled glass and all our boxes, paper and packaging are recycled or come from FSC certified companies.
And we only use seasonal fruit and vegetables in our recipes, helping the environment to be balanced.
Because of this, and with the aim to be even more greener and smarter, we have rethought and redesigned our labelling in order to reduce our carbon footprint to the minimum. We will reveal the new look of our tiny pots really soon.
To add more excitement to the whole thing, we have been shortlisted as well in the Customer Care and Business Mum Awards, which will be open to public vote very soon. Last week we recorded a really cool and funny video in the Radio Heart offices in order to support our nomination. Believe me, that was great fun!
Keep an eye in our Facebook page.

To celebrate all those good moments this week I've prepared a Spanish sangria, a fruit-based wine punch with a twist of nectarine and strawberry. A sweet, bubbly, and super simple recipe that will only get better if you consider doubling the quantities!
WHAT DO YOU NEED
1L Rioja Red Wine
1.5 L Fizzy Lemonade
100gr Sugar
200gr Strawberries
4 Nectarines
2 Cinnamon Sticks
WHAT DO YOU DO
In a big jug, place the sugar and the fruit diced into small cubes. Add the cinnamon and the Rioja wine. Tip: wine for sangria doesn't need to be excellent. A bottle of medium quality red wine will do (£6-£12). Choose a Spanish wine for proper sangria, however, a Californian, South African or Australian wine won't kill you. Pretty please (with cherries on top) do not drink anything bottled without a cork.
Leave to steep overnight, this way the fruit will macerate allowing all the juices to come out and boost the final flavour.
Before serving, add the fizzy lemonade, stir with a wooden spoon and serve chilled. Tip: you can add some ice cubes, but they will water down the sangria. Putting the lemonade in the freezer 15 mins before adding it to the mixture will sort this problem out.
Serve with a slice of orange and enjoy!
